Sohoku returns to the Inter-High carrying the previous championship but without the senior leaders who once held the team together. Over three days, riders are split by climbs, checkpoint sprints, crashes, and exhaustion, forcing Onoda and his teammates to decide repeatedly whether points matter more than bringing a struggling rider back. Hakone Academy is determined to take the crown again, and Kyoto Fushimi follows Midousuji's cold strategies and psychological attacks. Individual rivalries can decide a sprint or mountain line, but the overall race punishes anyone who forgets the team.
