Senryuu Shoujo

Eiji Busujima was a delinquent in middle school and hopes high school can leave that reputation behind, even joining the literature club. His intimidating face does not make the transition easy, but Nanako Yukishiro is never frightened of him. Nanako is a cheerful girl who rarely speaks aloud and instead communicates through seventeen-syllable senryu poems. The two quickly become comfortable together, while club president Amane Katagiri enthusiastically nudges them toward romance whenever she sees an opening. Between poetry, school activities, and small outings, Nanako's few written lines become a remarkably clear way to express feelings that Eiji rarely needs much explanation to understand.
