Jingai-san no Yome

Tomari Hinowa is living an ordinary high school life until his school calmly informs him that he has been selected to marry Kanenogi, a huge furry creature who looks nothing like a human and communicates in ways Tomari never expected from a spouse. Neither understands why they were paired, yet married life begins before either has much chance to object. What first seems completely absurd gradually settles into a surprisingly gentle domestic routine as Tomari learns to read Kanenogi's behavior and care for him. Around them, other students are living equally strange marriages with nonhuman partners, while the school treats the entire arrangement as if nothing about it were unusual.
