Kamui Shiro returns to Tokyo as the promised day of humanity's judgment approaches. The Dragons of Heaven seek to preserve civilization, while the Dragons of Earth intend to destroy it so the planet can recover from the damage caused by human life.

Both sides need Kamui, whose choice will decide which group he leads and which fate becomes possible. His desire to protect childhood friends Fuma and Kotori is shattered when destiny claims one of them as his opposing twin star, turning the battle for Earth into an intimate tragedy.
