91 Days

As a child, Angelo Lagusa watches the Vanetti mafia murder his parents and younger brother during a gang conflict in the town of Lawless. He escapes and abandons both his name and former life. Seven years later, an anonymous letter identifies the men responsible and calls him home.

Angelo returns as Avilio Bruno and deliberately befriends Nero Vanetti, the son of the family he intends to destroy, until he gains access to their criminal world. During Prohibition, where illegal liquor means power and the law has little reach, Avilio carries out revenge from inside the mafia itself. Yet every killing creates another debt of blood, and over ninety-one days it becomes increasingly uncertain whether anything of Avilio will remain once his vengeance is complete.
