Yaneura no Rudger

Rudger exists because Amanda imagined him, and she alone can see the boy who shares her secret adventures above her mother's bookshop. Their private world is threatened by Mr. Bunting, a sinister man who hunts Imaginaries and consumes them. An accident cuts Rudger off from Amanda and leaves him with no certainty that she still remembers him. Searching for a way back, he reaches a refuge occupied by imaginary companions whose children abandoned them or simply grew up. There he learns that his own existence is temporary as well: once his connection to Amanda disappears, he will fade just like the others. With Bunting still hunting him, finding Amanda becomes a race against forgetting before the memory that gave him life is erased.
