Mirai Asahina is now a college student in the human world, quietly using magic to help others, while Liko has returned to the Magic World as a teacher at the Magic School. Mofurun remains at Mirai's side, and Ha-chan watches over the world from afar, each of them moving toward a future of their own.

A new disaster threatening both worlds brings Mirai and Liko together again after months apart. An enemy seemingly able to reach into the future is accompanied by strange visions of the past and what may come next, forcing the two to transform and fight once more. This time they are not only protecting two worlds; they are facing a future in which they have already seen themselves lose.
