Shika no Ou: Yuna to Yakusoku no Tabi

Years after the Zol Empire conquers Aquafa, former soldier Van survives as a prisoner working in a salt mine. Strange wolves carrying Black Wolf Fever attack, killing almost everyone there, yet Van and a young girl named Yuna survive despite being bitten. The two escape and begin a quiet life in a farming village, slowly forming the bond of father and daughter. Their survival, however, makes their blood valuable to physician Hohsalle, who is searching for a cure, and to political forces that see the disease as a weapon or divine punishment. As the epidemic returns, Van must confront both the strange power awakened by the bite and the past he tried to leave behind. Protecting Yuna becomes inseparable from preventing fear from driving two peoples into another war.
