Boku dake ga Inai Machi

Satoru Fujinuma sometimes finds himself pulled a few minutes into the past just before a fatal accident occurs. He calls the phenomenon "Revival" and uses it to prevent tragedies without ever understanding why it happens. Then someone close to him is murdered, Satoru is blamed, and Revival sends him back not a few minutes but 18 years, into his own childhood body in 1988.

There he recognizes a connection between the present murder and the disappearance of his classmate Kayo Hinazuki, one of several children killed long ago. Satoru now has the chance to change what he failed to notice as a boy. Saving Kayo means looking carefully at the people around them, gaining her trust, and identifying a killer whose crimes have already shaped the future he came from.
