Seiji Aino opens his door to find Guri, a chaotic cupid carrying a supernatural Kiss Note. Any two names written in it are destined to kiss and become a couple, and a mistake has left Seiji caught in the book's rules. To avoid an absurd curse, he tries to pair himself with his longtime crush Akane Hiyama.

The problem is that Akane's love for Seiji is much more intense than he imagined, Guri develops her own fascination with romance, and new names keep turning a simple pairing into an increasingly impossible relationship. Jealousy, angelic bureaucracy, supernatural punishments, and very sharp weapons follow Seiji everywhere. He wanted one ordinary confession; instead, a magical notebook has made his love life a public disaster with rules that change faster than he can understand them.
