Akari Mizunashi, Aika S. Granzchesta, and Alice Carroll are no longer complete beginners. Years of practice on the canals of Neo-Venezia have brought them close to the goal they once admired from afar: becoming Prima Undines, professional gondoliers trusted to guide visitors through Aqua's beautiful city.

That closeness makes every lesson more meaningful. Their mentors Alicia, Akira, and Athena can guide them only so far before each apprentice must face her own weaknesses and the possibility of change. As promotions, farewells, and new responsibilities approach, the three friends learn to treasure ordinary days precisely because those days cannot remain the same forever.
