Kiki to Lala no Aoi Tori

Kiki and Lala take the roles of siblings Tyltyl and Mytyl, who are visited by a mysterious old woman asking them to find the Blue Bird of Happiness for her sick daughter. She gives them a magical hat whose diamond reveals hidden wonders and brings the spirits of familiar things to life.

Accompanied by their dog, cat, and personified companions such as Light, Fire, Water, and Milk, the children search through strange realms for the bird that can make someone happy. Their journey keeps leading them farther away, yet the answer they seek may be much closer to home than any magical kingdom.
