Rudolf to Ippaiattena

Rudolf is a pampered black housecat who has never had to worry about life beyond his family’s home. When he follows his owner Rie outside one day, an accident leaves him trapped in a truck and carried all the way to Tokyo, far from everything familiar. Lost in an enormous city, Rudolf has no idea how to return home.

He is taken under the wing of Ippaiattena, a tough and knowledgeable stray who teaches him how to survive on the streets and, remarkably, how to read human writing. As Rudolf grows more independent and begins piecing together where he came from, his search for home becomes a journey about friendship, courage, and finding a place to belong.
