Doraemon and Itchy the Stray

After a stray dog named Ichi protects Nobita from Gian, Nobita secretly takes him in. When his mother refuses to let him keep the dog, Nobita discovers that Ichi is only one of many abandoned pets struggling to survive. Furious at the humans who discarded them, he and Doraemon decide to give the animals a place where no owners can abandon them again.

Using Doraemon’s gadgets, they shrink the dogs and cats and carry them far into the prehistoric past, to an era untouched by human civilization. Nobita believes he has found them a safe new home, but leaving Ichi and the others behind creates consequences that reach far beyond the simple rescue he intended.
