Sabikui Bisco

Japan has become a wasteland covered in rust after a mysterious catastrophe, while a disease slowly turns human bodies into corroded metal. The government blames Mushroom Keepers and brands Akaboshi Bisco a terrorist, but he is actually traveling the country in search of the legendary Rust-Eater mushroom, possibly the only cure. His path brings him to doctor Milo, who is desperately trying to save his sister Pawoo from the illness. Together with the giant crab Akutagawa, they cross deserts, corrupt cities, and bizarre monsters in search of the mushroom. Bisco has little time to repair his public reputation. If he finds the cure first, he may save countless lives; if he fails, the truth about the government's lies may arrive only after there is nobody left to help.
