Nodame Cantabile: Nodame to Chiaki no Umi Monogatari

Stresemann sends Chiaki, Nodame, Mine, and Masumi to the Nina Lutz Music Festival in Nagano to learn from renowned musicians. Chiaki expects a serious trip devoted to music, but after falling asleep in the car, he wakes to discover that his companions have quietly taken a detour to a beach in Niigata.

While Mine relaxes in the sun and Nodame and Masumi rush into the water, Chiaki stays safely inside the beach house and tries to hide his fear of the sea. His plan becomes much harder to maintain when Nodame suggests renting an inflatable boat and rowing to a small offshore island, putting Chiaki's secret directly in the path of everyone's summer fun.
