Mononogatari

Hyouma Kunato belongs to a clan that deals with tsukumogami, spirits that inhabit old objects and take physical form in the human world. Most can be handled through conversation, but Hyouma despises them after a past encounter cost him two people he loved, so he answers nearly every spirit with violence. Fearing that such hatred will ruin the future clan head, his grandfather sends him to live with Botan Nagatsuki, a young woman who shares her home with six tsukumogami she considers family. Hyouma enters the house determined not to trust them, yet his clash with Botan's completely different experience begins to challenge that certainty just as more hostile spirits start moving in the shadows.
