Chika Takami longs for the radiance she once saw in school idols, and decides to create a group of her own at Uranohoshi Girls' High School. With transfer student Riko Sakurauchi and an expanding circle of friends, that wish becomes Aqours, a nine-member group determined to reach Love Live while giving their small seaside school something to believe in.

Their dream grows more urgent when Uranohoshi faces closure. Victories and failures onstage are no longer only about becoming better idols; they become part of the girls' effort to preserve the place that brought them together. Through rivalry, friendship, and painful setbacks, Aqours searches for a way to leave a light behind even if the school itself cannot be saved.
