Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Kenkaku Romantan - Shin Kyoto-hen

Makimachi Misao is drawn into Himura Kenshin's struggle as he heads for Kyoto to stop Makoto Shishio, the former assassin building an armed movement against the Meiji government. For Misao, the conflict is painfully personal: she is searching for Shinomori Aoshi, the leader she admires, only to learn how far his obsession with defeating Kenshin has carried him from the comrades who once followed him.

As Shishio's forces tighten their grip and plans for a devastating attack on Kyoto take shape, Kenshin is forced to confront enemies who embody the violence he has sworn to leave behind. Misao, Kaoru, Yahiko, and the Oniwabanshu are pulled toward the same clash, where loyalties, old wounds, and the meaning of strength will be tested in the flames engulfing the city.
