The Okinawa trip failed to give Yukimura and Himuro the conclusive scientific evidence they want for proving their love, so they begin searching for new ways to measure emotion instead of relying only on heart rates, temperatures, and romantic situations. They work with Chris and Suiu, an established couple from the biological sciences department, comparing oxytocin levels and physical responses between a mature relationship and their awkward one. The experiments raise an uncomfortable question: what if the data proves that what Yukimura and Himuro feel does not match the definition of love they created? While Yukimura doubles down on measurement, Kanade faces her own struggle with the idea of behaving “normally,” revealing that human feelings are far harder to trap inside a single equation.
