Kono Healer, Mendokusai

Alvin begins his career as an adventurer hoping to build a respectable reputation, only to nearly lose his first simple quest against a magical bear. Karla, a dark elf healer, appears and asks whether he needs help, then turns what should be a brief conversation into a long chain of insults and misunderstandings. When she finally uses her magic, she does not properly heal him but instead binds him with a curse that will kill him if he moves too far away from her. Alvin has little choice but to form a party with Karla until they can find a way to remove it. The problem is that Karla often seems far better at damaging her companion's patience than restoring his health, turning every dungeon, monster, and guild request into a test of Alvin's endurance before his strength.
