Synopsis
An elderly bamboo cutter discovers a tiny radiant girl inside a glowing bamboo stalk and raises her as his daughter. She grows with supernatural speed into the beautiful Kaguya-hime, whose fame draws a succession of powerful suitors eager to win her hand.
Kaguya answers their courtship with impossible quests, but the moon exerts a stranger and more intimate pull on her than anyone around her understands. As each full moon awakens desires she cannot simply ignore, her earthly relationships become entangled with the hidden truth of her origin and the fate that will eventually call her back to the Moon.
