High Card

Finn lives freely on the streets until he learns that the orphanage where he grew up may be forced to close. Hoping for quick money, he heads to a casino and instead gets caught in a violent chase connected to a mysterious playing card. He soon learns that a set of 52 X-Playing Cards grants different superhuman abilities to whoever holds them, and recovering them matters far more than any gamble.

Finn is recruited into High Card, a secret group working for the royal family to gather the scattered cards. Alongside companions as unusual as the powers they wield, he enters a world of dangerous missions and ruthless rivals where a single card can be enough to change the balance of an entire city.
