Everyday Host

After leaving life-insurance sales at one of the lowest points of his career, Hajime Sekiguchi enters the host-club world more out of desperation than ambition. At Club One he finds coworkers unlike any sales team he has known: a veteran who plays the little-brother role, a former idol who specializes in romantic charm, and an aggressive host obsessed with mobile games.

Hajime quickly decides that no sane person would choose this job, then discovers that years in insurance gave him exactly the skills he needs. Reading customers, choosing the right words, and earning trust all transfer surprisingly well to his new career, allowing the man who entered without a plan to carve out a place of his own among the club’s strangest personalities.
