Air in Summer

Kanna refuses to be moved to another shrine before she can find the mother she has been separated from for years. Under cover of night, she escapes with her loyal guard Ryuuya and the gentle Uraha, beginning a dangerous journey while pursuers remain close behind.

For Kanna, the road is also her first real taste of the world beyond confinement. Brief moments of laughter and discovery allow the three companions to grow closer, even as every peaceful stop reminds them that their freedom is temporary and that the search for Kanna's mother is carrying them toward a fate none of them can easily escape.
