Deji Meets Girl

Sixteen-year-old Maise Higa expects another dull summer helping at her family's small Okinawan hotel. Then a quiet guest named Ichirou Suzuki checks in, and reality begins behaving strangely around him. Rooms fill with seawater without flooding, enormous banyan trees burst through the building, and impossible creatures appear where tourists should be. Maise seems to be one of the few people able to witness these sudden distortions, and her curiosity quickly turns toward Ichirou himself. Rather than run from the impossible, she follows him deeper into it, hoping to learn why these phenomena gather around him and what brought a boy carrying so many mysteries to her otherwise sleepy seaside town.
