Catarina Claes has escaped every ruinous ending Fortune Lover once prepared for her, leaving her free to enjoy a life that no longer follows the game's script. During a lively encounter with a visiting caravan, she and her friends meet a mysterious young man named Aaqil. His arrival should be a brief curiosity, but Catarina soon becomes entangled in problems surrounding the caravan and the distant country it came from. With unfamiliar customs, hidden motives, and yet another handsome stranger entering her already overcrowded circle, Catarina finds herself facing danger for which her memories offer no warning at all.
