Amaama to Inazuma

After his wife's death, teacher Kouhei Inuzuka tries to raise his young daughter Tsumugi alone, but he cannot cook and relies mostly on prepared food. He realizes how much they both miss home cooking when he sees his daughter's joy over a simple meal, so he accepts an invitation from his student Kotori Iida to her family's restaurant, only to learn that Kotori's mother is often away and the girl usually eats alone.

The three decide to learn cooking together despite their limited experience. Every recipe becomes a small adventure shared by a father who wants to make his daughter happy, a child who expresses her feelings honestly through food, and a girl who longs for a table where she is not alone. Their meals gradually become a way to rebuild warmth each of them was missing.
