Kaminaki Sekai no Kamisama Katsudou

Yukito Urabe dies during a religious ritual forced on him by his father's cult, and in his final moments he longs for a new life untouched by religion or divine authority. His wish appears to be granted when he awakens in a society that has no concept of worship and believes he has finally found the freedom he wanted. Then he learns that the state decides when citizens must die and expects them to obey without resistance.

When Yukito's new friends are ordered to die, Mitama, the god worshipped by his former cult, suddenly appears with real power that depends on the number of believers she has. To save the village, Yukito must do the last thing he ever wanted in his new life: build a religion from nothing and gather followers for a god he knows far too well.
