Tetsuwan Birdy

Tsutomu Senkawa is an ordinary student preparing for his entrance exams when he stumbles into an interplanetary pursuit. Federal investigator Birdy Cephon Altera strikes him by accident while chasing an alien criminal, fatally injuring the very human she was supposed to protect.

To keep Tsutomu alive, Birdy merges his consciousness with her body until his own can be restored. Now the two must share a single existence: Tsutomu tries to preserve his school life while Birdy continues hunting dangerous fugitives hiding on Earth, and neither can act without dragging the other into the consequences.
