Isekai Shikkaku

The gloomy writer known as Sensei is about to fulfill his wish to die together with his beloved Sacchan when a truck sends him to another world instead. There, the priestess Annette declares him an adventurer chosen to defeat the Demon King. Sensei has no interest in heroism; he only wants to find Sacchan and complete the ending fate interrupted.

Along the way he accidentally saves the martial artist Tama, and Annette soon follows him as well, creating an unlikely party around a man who insists he would rather not be alive. Between monsters and other transported humans who abuse the powers they were given, a dark joke becomes clear: the person least interested in saving himself may be uniquely capable of saving this world from the heroes brought there to protect it.
