Five years after Musashi Tomoe sacrificed himself to stop the Dinosaur Empire, humanity believes the ancient enemy has been defeated. The Saotome Laboratory has since developed Neo Getter Robo, a machine that avoids Getter Rays, but its new team is still incomplete when the Dinosaur Empire suddenly rises again.

Hayato Jin recruits the fearless street fighter Go Ichimonji to pilot Neo Getter, only for the returning enemy to reveal power beyond the machine's limits. With Earth once again facing extinction, the team turns toward the forbidden weapon left behind from the previous war: Shin Getter Robo, whose overwhelming Getter energy may be humanity's only answer.
