Kijin Gentoushou

Jinta and Suzune were taken in as children by the guardian of Kadono Village and raised alongside his daughter Shirayuki, the girl destined to become the village's shrine maiden. Jinta devotes himself to protecting her and eventually becomes the village sentinel. During a hunt, a demon speaks of a future ruler of demonkind and transforms Jinta into an ageless demon before dying. He returns to disaster: Kadono is burning, Shirayuki has been killed, and Suzune has become the very demon tied to the prophecy. Unable to forgive what happened, Jinta leaves in pursuit of her. His journey stretches across generations of Japanese history, as he battles demons, protects passing lives, and waits for the day he must face Suzune again.
