Blood Lad: Wagahai wa Neko de wa Nai

Fuyumi's ghostly body begins fading unless she regularly receives Staz's blood, creating an awkward dependence neither of them knows how to discuss. Their fragile routine is interrupted when a team of vampire hunters identifies Staz as a target and uses a silver weapon to suppress his regeneration.

The hunters kidnap Fuyumi and retreat to their base, expecting the wounded vampire to stay down. Staz instead follows them despite his injuries, determined to recover the girl he promised to restore to life.
