Boku no Kokoro no Yabai Yatsu

Kyoutarou Ichikawa is a withdrawn middle schooler who fills his mind with dark fantasies about murder, especially convincing himself that he wants to kill Anna Yamada, the beautiful and popular girl in his class. Repeated encounters in the school library, however, expose someone completely different from the image he created of her.

Yamada may work as a model, but in everyday life she is odd, constantly hungry, terrible at reading the room, and surprisingly foolish. Instead of making Ichikawa want to hurt her, these discoveries make him worry about her and quietly protect her from embarrassment. The more he knows her, the harder it becomes to pretend the “dangerous” feeling in his heart is murderous at all. It may simply be a confused boy experiencing affection he does not yet know how to name.
