Nokemono-tachi no Yoru

Wisteria is a poor orphan living in the late 19th-century British Empire, and the brightest part of her bleak days is speaking at night with Marbas, an immortal demon most humans cannot even see. Each is lonely in a different way, yet they find in one another someone who genuinely listens.

When Wisteria’s life is placed in danger, a bond is forged between them and they leave together. Their journey crosses a country populated by humans, demons, and organizations that hunt supernatural beings, as they search for a place where they will not be forced apart. The world has little kindness for a human girl traveling beside a demon, and every step tests what each is willing to sacrifice to protect the one companion who finally ended their solitude.
