Soukyuu no Fafner: Dead Aggressor - Heaven and Earth

Two years after the last great battle, Tatsumiya Island has begun to heal, but Kazuki Makabe still waits for the return Soushi promised him. His body bears the damage of earlier fights, and hope seems to be fading until an unmanned submarine drifts into the bay carrying a mysterious boy named Misao Kurusu.

Misao claims a connection to Soushi and to the Festum, just as conflict between humanity and the alien beings erupts again. With the Human Army closing in and both species facing destruction, Kazuki and the Fafner pilots are forced back into battle, this time for the possibility that humans and Festum might understand one another at all.
