Sousou no Frieren: Ougonkyou-hen

Frieren, Fern, and Stark arrive at Weise, the city transformed entirely into gold by Macht, the strongest surviving Sage of Destruction. No one can simply enter and free it; Macht's curse exceeds ordinary magic, and even Frieren must first understand it before she can hope to break it. At the barrier waits Denken, a mage whose past is bound to both this land and the demon who destroyed it. Between Macht's memories of humanity and the city's frozen present, the confrontation becomes a test of understanding a demon who once tried to approach emotions he could never truly feel.
