Soul Eater

In Death City, the Death Weapon Meister Academy trains students to fight corrupted souls and witches. Each meister works with a partner capable of transforming into a Demon Weapon, with the goal of collecting 99 evil human souls and one witch soul so that the weapon can become a Death Scythe worthy of Lord Death himself.

Maka Albarn partners with Soul Evans, a boy who transforms into a scythe and is always determined to look “cool.” Alongside them are Black☆Star and Tsubaki, and Death the Kid with Liz and Patty. Their soul-collecting missions begin as training, but the witch Medusa and the madness surrounding the Kishin turn the academy into the front line of a much larger disaster. To defeat an enemy that feeds on fear, the students need more than strength; they must keep their souls in harmony while madness tries to enter them.
