Wolf's Rain

The world is dying and the cities that remain are freezing or collapsing, but an ancient legend says the end of the world will open the path to Paradise and that only wolves can find it. Humans believe wolves went extinct long ago, while the survivors live among them using illusions that make them appear human.

The wolf Kiba is drawn to Freeze City by the scent of a Lunar Flower, where he meets Hige, Tsume, and Toboe, all pulled there by the same call. The fragrance leads them to Cheza, a girl connected to the flowers who appears to be the key to Paradise. Together they cross a dying landscape pursued by nobles and humans seeking Paradise for their own reasons. They do not know whether the promised place truly exists, but in a world with almost nothing left, continuing to walk becomes an act of faith.
