Ayaka

After years on the mainland, Yukito Yanagi returns to the Ayaka Islands in accordance with his late father's wishes. Yukito possesses a strange ability to affect water when his emotions break free, which has made him keep people at a distance for fear of hurting them.

Back in his birthplace, he meets his father's former disciples and discovers a world of spirits called Mitama, some harmless and others dangerous when corrupted by negative emotions. Yukito learns that his father was far from ordinary and that his return is connected to the balance protecting the islands since a volcanic disaster nearly destroyed them. To understand his power, he must stop running from other people and learn what kind of place he left before he was old enough to remember it.
