Bon Namihira is an ordinary student until he meets Ream Stream, a girl from the future working for the Time Patrol. Her job is extraordinary: travel through history and save people whose deaths can be prevented without changing the larger course of time.

Witnesses are normally made to forget the patrol ever existed, but Bon's memory somehow survives. That anomaly earns him a place as a trainee beside Ream and the strange creature Buyoyon. Using a time boat and tools from the future, Bon visits disasters, wars, accidents, and forgotten corners of human history, learning that saving one life often requires understanding an entire era first.
