Chibi Maruko-chan Movie

At the start of a new school term, Maruko is placed in a group with Oono and Sugiyama, two energetic boys whose constant rivalry makes them seem impossible to handle. As classes and preparations for the school athletic meet continue, Maruko gets an increasingly close look at the bond hidden beneath their arguments.

Oono and Sugiyama compete in almost everything, but their friendship is stronger than either boy readily admits. Through their triumphs, clashes, and the changes waiting beyond the school year, Maruko comes to understand how precious a friendship can be when two people push each other to become better.
