Mushishi: Hihamukage

A rare solar eclipse draws people across the countryside outside to watch the daylight vanish. For those who understand Mushi, however, the spectacle carries a warning: unusual creatures thrive in the altered light, and the effects of the eclipse may remain long after the sun should return.

Following Tanyuu's prediction, Ginko reaches a farming village where a black mass has covered the sky and trapped the land in perpetual darkness. He identifies the Mushi behind it and searches for a way to restore the sunlight, but discovers that darkness can feel like refuge to someone who has learned to fear the light.
