Kurenai no Buta

Marco Pagot was once a brilliant World War I pilot, but a mysterious curse left him with the face of a pig. Now known as Porco Rosso, he works as a bounty hunter chasing air pirates over the Adriatic. His solitary routine changes when a boastful American pilot named Curtis shoots him down and proudly declares him dead. To repair his plane and reclaim his reputation, Porco turns to the Piccolo family, where the young engineer Fio insists on rebuilding the aircraft despite his doubts about her. She joins his journey and, through her fearless optimism, begins exposing the humanity Porco hides beneath cynicism and isolation.
