Coquelicot-zaka kara

Umi Matsuzaki lives in a boarding house overlooking Yokohama's harbor and carries much of the household responsibility alongside her schoolwork. At school, another kind of struggle is underway: the beloved old clubhouse known as the Latin Quarter is scheduled for demolition as the city modernizes ahead of the Tokyo Olympics.

Umi joins the students campaigning to save the building and grows close to Shun Kazama from the newspaper club. Their affection deepens, but an investigation into both families reveals old photographs and names that make their relationship appear impossible. While the students fight to preserve a place containing their school's history, Umi and Shun must also untangle the history of their parents and learn whether the past will dictate their future or help them understand it.
