Girly Air Force

Kei Narutani and his childhood friend Minghua flee attacks by the mysterious Zai and reach Japan after being rescued by an unusual red fighter aircraft. Kei's fascination with the plane leads him to Gripen, a girl who is not simply a pilot but an Anima linked to a special aircraft designed to fight the Zai.

Gripen is powerful in combat yet suffers from instability that prevents her from flying reliably, and the military discovers that Kei's presence helps her function. He becomes part of the project and later meets other Anima such as Eagle and Phantom, each with a different aircraft and personality. As Zai attacks intensify, the bond between humans and these embodied fighters becomes a crucial line of defense against an enemy whose true nature remains largely unknown.
