Made in Abyss: Mezameru Shinpi

After leaving the village of Iruburu in the Abyss's sixth layer, Riko, Reg, Nanachi, and Faputa continue downward into territory from which returning is no longer a realistic option. What lies ahead is known on the surface only through fragments and rumors, and the people and ruins they encounter suggest that the Abyss's history is older and stranger than anything they have understood so far. Riko remains determined to reach her mother, Reg still searches for the truth of his forgotten past, and Faputa must discover what place she has after the destruction of the village that defined her life. A new stage of the descent begins, with every step taking them closer to the heart of the Abyss and farther from any path back.
