Miyu Samura suddenly becomes responsible for a toy poodle left with him by his ex-girlfriend, despite knowing almost nothing about dogs. The unruly puppy quickly threatens even his housing situation, until Miyu meets professional trainer Shinichirou Niwa, who changes the dog's behavior within minutes and then bluntly explains that the real problem is not the animal alone but how its owner treats it. Fascinated, Miyu becomes Niwa's assistant and begins learning dog training seriously. Yet the man who reads canine behavior with remarkable ease is far less skilled with people, and his business is struggling. Through the owners and dogs who come to them for help, Miyu learns that training an animal often means changing a human first, and that understanding behavior begins with observation rather than commands.
