Mou Ippon!

Michi Sonoda decides that her final middle-school tournament will also be the end of her time in judo, especially after an embarrassing defeat to Towa Hiura. She wants high school to mean something different from sweat, mats, and constant training. That plan immediately weakens when she discovers Towa has enrolled at the same school and that her old friend Sanae still shares the connection to the sport that brought them together. An attempt to establish a judo club pulls Michi back toward the place she thought she had left. This time, however, competition is not only about winning. Through practice, tournaments, and new teammates, she remembers why scoring a clean ippon gave her a feeling nothing else quite replaces.
